I don’t post many personal blogs but I hope to post more this year. I usually leave my camera at home but it was too tempting not to shoot M83′s production at the Granada Theater. I definitely have a new found appreciation for entertainment/band photography. It is possibly my new favorite thing.

Sunday night, M83′s concert with friends at their last show on their North American spring tour…don’t worry they will be back in the fall

Hunter and Susan’s story is one of redemption. Because of God’s grace and mercy Hunter has overcome his battle with addiction. He has been clean 5 years on March 23rd, 2011. I cannot imagine a life without him.

Hunter and Susan’s love is one of trust and understanding. I admire their perseverance and courage to lean not on their own understanding. Thank you for being a letter from Christ (2 corinthians 3:3), which sets a wonderful example of Christ for the world to see!

People ask if it was hard to be in the wedding and shoot at the same time. The answer is YES. But even though it was hard…this is what God let me see through my camera…

It’s not typically this emotional for me to post but this one is different. My brother married a wonderful and amazing woman last week, on a perfect day, at Campy Lucy. I finally have a sister!! I am so proud of Hunter and so blessed by his love for Susan. I am also blessed by Susan’s love for Hunter. I say to your both,  it was more than an honor to capture your wedding from behind my camera. I love you both so much. More photos to come!

And Carrie Mercer you are a rockstar thank you keeping me going, and shooting with me! What a wonderful friend.

please meet my kid sister kelly…no, not really. But we do kinda look alike, minus my crows feet and the fact that i am 7 years older (see end of post). Maybe it’s the glasses?!  Kelly is my sweet friend that so willingly said yes to shooting my profile –> BIO.

We did a switch-a-roo and I photographed her and her pet ladybug this week. She is a quirky, cute, funny, and talented friend and I can’t wait hang out with her again and read books together in green fields. PS if you look hard you can see the ladybug in a couple shots!

Welcome to Chicago! For Thanksgiving this year my awesome mother-in-law took us to Chi-town. I was torn about not taking my camera and I ended up leaving him here. They say the best camera you have is the one you have with you so I put that to the test with my iPhone.  All of the photos are taken with my phone using various programs: Hipstamatic, CrossProcess, Instagram, and sometimes just the camera. I hope to start posting more personal blogs and work as I move toward a new logo, site, and blog.

Great things to come in 2012! I am so excited to share with you a new nbarrett photography…but I can’t just yet. Be on the look out for nbarrett photography re-brand in the near future. In the mean time, and in between time check out my re-brand inspiration and the awesome ladies who are making it all happen:

Meet Emma Robertson - Logo and re-brand! & Meet Breanna Radermacher - Site makeover!

Sometimes you just gotta have fun!
